DSP (Demand-Side Platform)

Software advertisers and agencies use to buy programmatic ad inventory across publishers and exchanges.

A demand-side platform lets advertisers and agencies manage programmatic campaigns from one interface — setting targeting, budget, and bid strategy, then bidding into auctions across every connected SSP and exchange via OpenRTB. In CTV, a DSP is the buy-side counterpart to a publisher's SSP or ad server; The Trade Desk and Xandr's DSP product are examples. A DSP doesn't own inventory — it buys access to inventory that SSPs and exchanges make available.
