SSAI (Server-Side Ad Insertion)

Stitching ads into HLS or DASH manifests on the server before delivery to the player.

Server-side ad insertion replaces ad segments in the streaming manifest server-side, so the player receives a continuous stream with ads already embedded. SSAI avoids ad blockers, enables per-session targeting, and is the standard delivery method for CTV and FAST channels. It requires tight coordination between the ad server (VAST decisioning) and the manifest stitcher.
