VMAP (Video Multiple Ad Playlist)

XML playlist that schedules multiple ad breaks at specific offsets in long-form video.

VMAP defines when ad breaks occur in VOD and long-form content — pre-roll, mid-roll at time offsets, and post-roll. Each break references a VAST ad tag URI. SSAI systems consume VMAP to schedule pod auctions before manifest stitching. Live TV typically uses SCTE-35 markers instead of VMAP.
