PMP (Private Marketplace)
An invite-only programmatic auction between a publisher and a curated list of buyers.
A private marketplace restricts a programmatic auction to a specific set of invited buyers, typically at a negotiated floor CPM above open auction rates. Publishers use PMP deals to offer premium inventory — a FAST channel's prime-time pod, a live sports break — to trusted demand without the full transparency and lower average CPMs of open auction. PMP sits between fully negotiated programmatic guaranteed deals and open auction in the waterfall.
